New Adventure....

Today I start school..Nervous????Yep....
You see I have a hard time learning and understanding what they are trying to teach me..But there comes a time in life where you just have to say to hell with it and jump in head first...So off I go.....
I will be studying Esthiology at the Aveda Institute for the next six months...And I am so excited, who wouldnt want to make people feel beautiful......
Wish me luck...

And then there was the sun...

I woke up this morning and saw the sun...I know you are thinking.... well of course you did it..It is August..
But, I happen to live in San Francisco..And the sun has not shone it at least 3 weeks..So I grabbed the sun screen, sunglasses and hubby and off we went.....
First stop a great Flea market in Alamo Square... Scored some great stuff and only spent 20.00 total..
Then lunch at Liverpool Lil's(not 20.00 :0(  ) and final stop the beach with pepper...(by then of course the clouds had rolled in but thats ok I had my 3 hours of sunshine...)

Im bad...

I havent followed up with my daily photo challenge...Its been so crazy around here..I seem to say that alot but it truely has..Ive been sick, been trying to sort out bills then trying to make money to pay the damn bills..I could go on forever..But I will spare you my wooo's.So, instead of the challenge im going to post pics of things that make me feel calm. Because right now I could do with some of that and maybe you could too...

I love having a bath...Light some candles, glass of wine and a  great book and just soak ..Nothing more calming then that..Except I dont have a bath where we live just a shower..So for now I will just have to look at this beautiful picture..

Day 5 Someone I love...

This is my hubby we have been married 19 years and together for 23...We have been thru so much together and I love him more and more everyday..also pictured with him his our dog pepper...Thats a bonus as I love him too.. He has kept me sane since moving away from our family and friends..

Day 4 of challenge

My favorite color....I work with color alot when im refurbishing furniture so my favorite color can change from time to time....but at this moment in time I would say this is it....

I love this turquoise it makes me happy ....I seem to be painting everything this color right now......

Day 1 of Photo Challenge

So here is Day 1  of challenge and the first photo is a self portrait...UGH....Not great I am sick, have a cold sore and basically fill like crap..But I committed to it so I am doing it ..So here is goes.

30 day challenge........

I just got back from vacation and have been feeling a bit down.....you know how it is....Back to reality ie work , washing, housework, paying bills, and the list could go on..So to get my self out of this slump I have decided to do the 30 day challenge ove at Oh so lovely...So for the whole of August I will take a different photo and post it on here....Now be warned I am not a great photographer really not even a good one.But I am up for this... It could be fun....

In the mean time here are a couple of photos from our vacation..We started on the 101 going north to Oregon..It rained on and off for the whole 11 hours....ugh......The last picture is us driving thru a tunnel and I really like the way it turned out...

Finished and up for sale...

I just finished this piece and put it up for sale on CL...Sometimes I really miss having my brick store where I could display my pieces..But it is what it is....And CL most of the time does not fail me...
This piece has been sitting in my basement for a while as I had to order a new mirror, but now it's finished and I love it....wish I could keep it but need to make some money to pay for school..so bye bye it goes..

We are going on vacation on Saturday.....YAY!!!!!!!!!! We are hitting Portland,Seattle, and Vancouver in 9 days..We are going to see some great sights,and some even greater people....so excited...Talk to you soon lovelies!!!!!!!

I just realized I haven't posted in over 6 weeks....
Things have just been a little overwhelming lately.... Then on Saturday we leave for avery much needed vacation...YAHOOOOOOO...
But here is just a little peak of what has been going on in my life..

Renewed our wedding vows..had a great party and got to see our son(whos in the army)..all in all it has been a crazy awesome 6 weeks..
